Vehicle 052
Information
sent by Ian Cameron, owner on November 21, 2004:
Here
are some facts about AM120*052*.
The
car was built in May 1974, and as a European left hand drive model
which only carried "equal" chassis numbers, the "52"
means this was
actually car 26 - so a very early example!
The
first date of registration seems to have been 01.07.74, to a Dr.
Luciano Conti of Bologna.
The
original colour was Argento/Silver, with the interior in
Senape/Mustard.
The
car presumably had at least one if not two "good" accidents,
as the
colour changed to red and then back to Argento, and at some point
the
interior has been restored and changed to Black. It has also had
a new
"works" engine fitted some time before March 1997, which
now has about
9,000 Klm.
The
car passed through various hands in Italy, being registered in both
Milano and Verona, from where it was exported to a German Maserati
dealer called Neuser in May 2003, who then sold to a Mr. Ritter
in
Herrsching near Munich where I live. I bought *52* from Ritter in
October this year.
The
car seems to be in generally very good condition, although I am
at
the moment having problems with exhaust fumes entering the cabin!
