Sale Status: Not Sold
Sale Date: 11/6/1998
Event Name: N/A

Auction Data By: Sports Car Market Magazine
Condition Rating: 3

SCM # 17963
Condition Description: 4.9 liter, late stereo, alloy wheels. Poor repaint shows equally poor prep and sanding marks; rear hatch doesn't close flush, but door and hood fits are good. Good new interior, cold A/C. Seems solid and well cared for.

Market Opinion: Don't let the carping about paint mislead you, this is a good example of a typically overlooked Maserati. Estimated at $30-35,000, low to mid Twenties could have taken it home and would be a good value at that price.

Seen August 2004 at Lexington Concours d’elegance. Red with bottom of body black, black interior, 5 speed. Euro bumper conversion on back but US bumper shock housing still on car, capped close. Mister Howell, owner commented that he had only ever seen another; a gold car in Wisconsin, to which I answered guess who owns it now!

Here is the info I have to fill in what we know about Maserati Khamsin AM120
1028
I puchased the car from Mark Hyman of Hyman LTD (address below) after the
Dana Mecum auction. The official date of purchase is 11/10/98 as shown on
the invoice from Hyman.
The only other record of ownership of this car is a Georgia title under the
name of James R. Crumley. This shows the date issued of 6/7/96.
The car was titled in Illinois on 11/30/98, then retitled in Kentucky on
5/5/04.
Maintanence wise the car has been almost as reliable as my Honda! Other than
repairing the hydrolyc accumulators it has been virtually flawless.
I am attaching some photos we took of the various plates mounted on the car.
The build plate is on the drivers door jamb, the vin plate in on the dash at
the base of the windshield, the Engine plates are on the drivers wheel
house, and the specs plate is on the pass. wheel house. Unfortunatly that
one is a bit fuzzy, The Autovettura # is 25124.
I can send more photos of the whole car if you'd like. I also filled in some
of the info I have below.
