8-What do you know of the car's history from new to today? See attached –– I bought the car in March ’01 with Frank Mandarano’s help – apparently owned by a Berry Wayburn prior to me – car was displayed at the GM Design Center and photographed with Mr. Bertone in 1994.

20-Your comments on your life and times with the car,
A: firstly the practical, mechanical aspect? The car has been very reliable – I am using it as an “everyday” driver at this moment
B: secondly your feelings, thoughts about driving it, living with it? I love to drive the car, but I miss modern seat belts and a modern audio unit

21-Your favorite anecdote or best driving memory (these cars are about emotions!)? Driving from Oak Ridge to Virginia International Raceway with a Ferrari-loving friend. Got to drive the car on the track at VIR and it was AWESOME! These things will really move and handle…

22-Problems had? Split heater hose at the rear of the engine (a bitch to replace in the dash, etc.)… A/C compressor died… Plastic parts in stalk assembly gave up…

23-Parts needed? Control stalk assembly, A/C compressor

24-Suggestions, tips? These things need to be driven – as a good friend of mine says, “drive it like you stole it!” Also, these things love high octane fuel. I usually try and add 5-6 gallons of 110 to a tank of 93 octane…

25-Finally, since the aim of the registry is to attempt to ascertain the fate and status of each Khamsin, do you know of any other Khamsin’s, be they running cars, parts cars, cars long ago destroyed or burned? No
